CARPARK
Looking for somewhere to park up that won't cost you a kidney? Fleetwood's Central Car Park might be your answer. It's nothing fancy - just a decent patch of tarmac off the promenade - but at a fiver a night, who's complaining?
Let's get the boring (but important) bits out of the way:
Now, here's the thing - this is proper parking only. No pulling out the camping chairs or hanging your pants out to dry. And definitely no BBQs (yes, we know it's tempting). Keep everything inside your van and you'll be fine.
There aren't any. No, really - not even a tap. But before you scroll away in horror, remember you're paying less than the price of a fancy coffee to park up by the sea. And speaking of the sea...
This is where it gets good. You're:
"It's basic, but it's brilliant for what it is - cheap, convenient parking by the sea. If you're self-sufficient and just need somewhere to rest your wheels, job done."
Get there early evening to bag the best spots - the ones with the sea view, obviously. Just remember, no setting up camp outside. This isn't Glastonbury.
Perfect for self-sufficient van lifers who want:
Not so great if you're after campsite facilities or planning an outdoor feast. But for a fiver? You can't go wrong.
